Если Вы просто никак не хотите расставаться с любимым Photoshop, CorelDraw, VSO ConvertXtoDVD и другими программами, то есть несколько вариантов для запуска своих любимых приложений и игр в Убунту.
1. Первым способом решить данную проблему, это установить программу Wine, которая служит некой прокладкой между Linux и Windows. Это приложение как бы эмулирует среду для виндовс-программ. Существует очень много игр и программ, которые запустяться сразу же после установки, для других нужно будет скачать родные "виндовсовские" библиотеки, типа DLL и т.д., либо поискать в интернете решение запуска нужных программ, но и будут такие, которые не смогут запуститься вообще. Если для Вас осваивать Wine будет большой проблемой, то существует очень неплохая программа PlayOnLinux, которая сама работает с Wine, и в ее списке есть очень большой список поддерживаемых игр и приложений из мира Windows. PlayOnLinux имеет очень понятный, русифицированный интерфейс. С ее помощью Вы сможете без проблем установить такие программы:

2. Ну а второй способ, это уже для тех, кто просто не может жить без Windows, хотя хочет оставаться в Линуксе. Есть программа VirtualBox, которая может устанавливать и запускать другую операционную систему в той, в которой Вы работаете. Другими словами, Вы сможете запустить Windows прямо не выходя из Убунту. Лично я использовал этот вариант, когда мне нужна была программа каталогизатор фильмов AntMovieCatalog, которая без проблем установилась в Убунту, но во время печати вместо русских букв выдавала кракозябры. А вот из VirtualBox все заработало как часы. Но играть в игры через VirtualBox не советую, потому как они могут либо не завестись, либо Вы увидите вместо игры, сплошные тормоза. Виртуализация есть виртуализация.
